Personality Traits and Characteristics Dragon

Full of intense power and fury, the Dragon is a Chinese horoscope sign full of ambition and conviction. Do not mess with a Dragon on its path to glory. They do not like to lose and will come after you with a vengeance should they find you to blame for their loss. Dragon signs also tend to have a sense of entitlement, whether rightly or wrongly, so be advised when choosing to ask a Dragon for a favor, since it's likely that strings will be attached to that favor.

Common personality characteristics of the Dragon include charisma, confidence, and a flair for artistic passion. Due to their dominating natures and endless energy, they can and will make great leaders. However, more often than not, they do need to keep their lust for power in check since they can become malevolent when angry. Dragon people also have a tendency to brood and hold grudges for a very long time, so never play malicious tricks on a Dragon. They will resent you for a very long time afterwards.

Good careers for Dragons include salespeople, insurance agent, engineer, business management (including CEO), and lawyer. Due to their domineering personalities, they will want to rise to the top as soon as they get a clear chance in their careers. For them, being a leader is fine, however, conflict could occur if they are managing other people. Dragons need to remember to keep their legendary tempers in check in order to receive continuing success should they find themselves in a leadership role. Dragon signs also tend to think that rules and laws are meant as guidelines for others and not applicable to them. They need to remember to be cautious to remember that these do apply to them, too, when dealing with business and personal matters. Dragon people do not like to keep consistence schedules, due to the fact that they feel that this would limit their freedom to do different tasks as they please. As a leader, Dragons need to be sensitive of the people under them, and remember their needs and wants, too, since the desires of the Dragon and the people under the Dragon's authority can sometimes clash.

At their very worst, however, Dragon personalities can suffer from narcissism, a violent nature, Borderline Disorder, and Antisocial Personality Disorder. Due to their inherent narcissism and large egos, they tend not to seek help when they need it the most. This could prove detrimental to them if they do need to rely on others, however.

As far as a Dragon's love and sex life goes, they can survive without the close companionship of another. Often, Dragon signs will be the one doing the dumping should a relationship turn sour rather than the other way around. They often find themselves to be surrounded by family and friends, and usually that's enough closeness for them. However, when in a romantic relationship, they can be energized by another. Finding someone who truly believes in the Dragons hopes and dreams is important to the Dragon. Should a Dragon choose a partner, they will find compatibility with the Rooster, the Monkey, the Rat, the Sheep, and the Snake. They are advised against getting into romantic relationships with the Dog.
